Managerial Accounting, August 8

Tired today. Had to fix the brakes on my Jeep again. Hopefully it takes, this time. Suspect I didn’t tighten everything down enough the first time, so my right front brake assembly was clicking. Took it completely apart and put it back together. No more noise. Wait and see if it holds.

Supposed to be doing Chapter 13 today. I think. Tomorrow, we start the group project.

Chapter 13: Relevent Costs For Decision Making

Relevent costs are costs that differ between alternatives. Relevent costs are sometimes referred to as avoidable costs.

Individual business segments may be unprofitable due to irrelevent costs. Shutting down such a segment will lower a firm’s net operating income.
