Had a fairly productive meeting today for the group work.  Feel a lot better about that, although I’m not completely sanguine about it.  Hopefully, some of our other group members will show up today.Professor is sick today.  Also, his powerpoint stuff isn’t working.  He’s called tech support already.

Talking about entrepeneurship and starting up companies today.

For our written cases, the executive summary should be 1-2 pages.

When financing a start-up company, there are four potential sources of start-up capital.

  1. Personal Financing
  2. Social Networks — Friends and family
  3. Small Business Administration — SBA loans, SBIC, SBA bonds
  4. Venture Capital

The first two are where most businesses start.  They can give you a good enough start to get financing from the SBA or venture capitalists.

Exam coming up in two weeks.  Chapters 6-13, similar to previous exam.
