Professor is Dr. Melissa Gonzalez.  Apparently, she was previously Melissa Najera, but got married and changed her last name recently.  Several of the other students seem to recognize her from previous classes, and are happy to see her, so that’s a good sign.  Seems to be a very animated, high-energy person.

Also, she’s fairly pregnant.  Due date is right at the beginning of December, which may be a complication for class schedules.  Doubtless also her personal schedule, but that’s not so much my business.

Textbook is International Management, 7th edition, by Luthans and Doh.

There will be three exams, two in the course of the class and one final.  There will also be two event summaries due; two page summaries of current events articles relevant to international business.  A presentation of one of those summaries will be made in class.  There will be a project due; originally slated for an individual project, but probably a team project in actuality.  That’s still up in the air.  The assignment is to produce a training manual for an expatriate to some particular country.  8-10 pages in length.

Gonzalez mentioned that her family runs a small bakery, too.
